The stories are separate. The pain is shared.

And now, for the first time, model Crystal McKinney is putting it all on record — alleging that in the same year, two of the most powerful men in entertainment drugged and raped her in separate, harrowing attacks.

2 Allegations, 1 Year, 2 Titans of Industry

In lawsuits filed two decades after the alleged incidents, McKinney names both Sean "Diddy" Combs and Harvey Weinstein as sexual predators. The claims date back to 2003 when McKinney was a 22-year-old model navigating the high-stakes, image-obsessed world of fashion and celebrity-adjacent fame.

According to court documents, McKinney first filed a lawsuit in May 2024, accusing Combs of drugging her and assaulting her in a Manhattan recording studio, as reported by Vulture.

Then, in a newly amended complaint filed on May 30, 2025, she accused Weinstein of raping her and a friend during what began as a business meeting to discuss acting opportunities, PEOPLE reports.

A Night at the Studio

McKinney claims she met Diddy during Men's Fashion Week in New York. After being invited to his recording studio for what she believed was a professional meeting, she alleges she was given a marijuana joint that she later realized had been laced with a narcotic. Disoriented and intoxicated, she says she was led into a bathroom where Combs sexually assaulted her.

She blacked out and later awoke in a cab, realizing she had been assaulted, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit also alleges that after the incident, Combs "blackballed" her within the industry, contributing to the unraveling of her modeling career, as reported by USA Today.

Combs has denied all allegations of nonconsensual sexual encounters and is currently standing trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, to which he has reportedly pleaded not guilty.

The Weinstein Encounter

That same year, McKinney says she was approached by a modeling agency executive who arranged a meeting with Weinstein. She brought her roommate — also a model — along for what they believed would be a career opportunity.

According to the lawsuit, after a brief lounge meeting, Weinstein insisted the conversation continue at his Manhattan hotel suite due to noise and crowding. There, he allegedly ordered expensive alcohol and pressured both women to drink.

The complaint says Weinstein groped McKinney, tore at her shirt, and coerced the two women into taking a bath with him — threatening retaliation if they refused. McKinney alleges they complied out of fear, and that Weinstein then raped both her and her friend before abruptly leaving the room.

Trauma That Never Ended

McKinney says she fell into a "a tailspin of anxiety and depression" after the two alleged assaults, as reported by USA Today. She reportedly attempted suicide and was hospitalized in 2004.

Her legal team says these incidents caused not just personal and emotional damage but also professional sabotage.

"MeToo exposed rich and powerful men in the entertain(ment) industry who target and sexually abuse young women seeking a break. Crystal McKinney, a top model at a young age, fell victim to such predation – twice," her lawyer Michelle A. Caiola said in a statement to USA Today.

While Weinstein's attorney called McKinney's claims "outlandish and fantastical," according to USA Today, McKinney's lawyers are demanding a jury trial and damages. They argue that the back-to-back nature of these incidents is not a coincidence but a symptom of systemic abuse and elite impunity in fame-driven industries.

When the Powerful Protect the Powerful

Weinstein, who was convicted of sexual assault in 2020, had his conviction overturned in April 2024 on procedural grounds. He remains in jail due to a separate conviction in California.

Diddy, now facing federal sex trafficking charges, has seen his empire crumble under the weight of multiple lawsuits and a viral video showing him assaulting singer Cassie in 2016 — a clip he reportedly acknowledged and apologized for.

Yet both men remain powerful symbols, Weinstein of Hollywood's dark underbelly and Diddy of the music industry's notorious culture of silence.

The Courage to Come Forward

McKinney's decision to come forward now — after years of silence, shame, and alleged retaliation — is part of a growing chorus of survivors who say the fight for justice never truly ends.

Bringing accusations against one powerful man is daunting. Bringing them against two, both already under national scrutiny, is a reminder that healing doesn't follow headlines. It follows truth.
